Superhero Capes

I had big plans for a photo shoot for these capes but it has not stopped raining for days and I really wanted to get them in the mail. The sun peeped out for a few minutes yesterday afternoon
and I grabbed the capes, clips, camera and A and ran outside. Borrowed a neighbours fence and snapped a few shots as quick as I could.
While I was working on these I emailed Robyn teasers and told her that THIS one was my favourite. Now they are all done and I can see them altogether I really can't pick.

Q's I love because it was the first one and I was playing around with ideas and was beyond thrilled with how it turned out.

S's I love because it felt like the most work and I went back and forth between my emails from Robyn and our Superman Cookie Jar to make sure I got it right. Applique-ing that S was a challenge but in the end.. so happy!

M's I love because.. it's just really cool. I doubled up on the yellow fabric so it didn't get washed out by the black and then LUCKED out to have yellow thread on hand at 2:00 in the morning when I wanted to sew the M on. Before I did M's I had planned to make them all basically the same, but the star didn't look right behind the M and then I got the idea for the lightning bolt. Perfect :)
They are off in the mail this morning for three little boys who I hope will totally love them!
(Robyn, pictures please!)
