No Baby Alpacas Were Harmed....

... in the making of this hot water bottle cozy :)

Here is the cozy I made from Churchmouse yarns. I love it so much. I swear it was my favourite project of the year. I made it for my BFF and put it in a stocking with all the "final", special edition, magazines from the Twilight Saga. I also included other treats, but the cozy and all the pictures of Jacob made her the most happy. Her new boyfriend complained that I don't like him and am trying to replace him. I only met him once and he seemed like a nice guy, so I SWEAR that's not the case!!
It only took me a little over a day to finish it and then I carried it around making everyone pat it. One person (muggle) that I showed it to drew back in horror when I told her it was made from Baby Alpaca. It took a lot of explaining, an internet search and a MAJOR effort on my part to NOT LAUGH to convince her that no baby alpacas were harmed in the making of my hot water bottle cover. Seriously!

I am now making the world's largest pair of socks for a friend of ours and am hoping to finish them before the New Year. I'm feeling a little burnt out after the holidays and over a month of frantic Christmas knitting. Am so much looking forward to the ease and endless garter stitch of my Mason-Dixon blanket. I have until JUNE to finish that one!
