This is N's Eleventh Doctor.
He "couldn't sleep" one night and trying to bore him into going back to bed I continued to play around on Ravelry, snuggling him on my lap and hoping he'd get sleepy. No such luck... instead he found this pattern for the whole series of Doctor Who dolls and a crocheted Tardis! Of course he wanted me to cast on immediately and pretty much stalked me until he started to see progress....and made me redo anything that wasn't absolutely perfect. Three bow ties and several attempts at black pants he's finally done! N sat up with me until 1:00 in the morning while I carefully stitched the hair and it hasn't left his arms since :)
Crazy-making project but worth every second for the giant grin my little guy gave me as soon as it was done!
(and kind of good for everyone involved that he knows how much work went into it!)
Now I have to make the Tardis - the doll doesn't exactly fit into this one!
